JQHotz started shortly after Jim Quaintance and Zelene Capps met.

Zelene had a family recipe that her and her brother Gary always made for family dinners and parties. The Salsa was very good and everyone loved it

Zelene and Jim both love to cook and experiment with new ideas and flavors.

They especially love to cook and prepare food for the enjoyment of others.

As Zelene and Jim's relationship developed so did the family salsa recipe. Jim had a great idea to smoke and roast the vegetables over a wood fire. That process perfected the recipe and created JQHotz. The salsa that has a powerful taste you cannot stop eating.

Zelene and Jim began making JQHotz to give to co-workers, friends, and family as holiday gifts. Within a few weeks they were all coming back to us asking when we were making more, and could they have or even buy some more. We knew then we had something special.

Many of our friends have actually accused us of making them into JQHotz addicts.
It is not our fault. It is the powerful flavor and the tingling heat sensation that follows that you just have to have more of. One taste and you're hooked.

Zelene and Jim have now been married 10 years. The sale of JQHotz to the public has been a dream for many years and they appreciate all their friends, co-workers and families' patients and support.
